Best car comparison evar

So Steve Yegge’s blog is a constant (well monthly) source of awesome right? He recently included in a post about Ejac (JavaScript for Emacs) a continuation of the famous “Cars == Programming Languages” comparison.

So to continue (for techies mostly) if your (least) favourite language was a car/vehicle/mecha (yes Ruby I’m looking at you) which would it be?

In related news I hacked on cheezburger.el the other night, and my patches got accepted :)

See I always had C down for a low slung kit-car which enables you to move the side the drivers seat’s on, oh and a barrels of kerosene comes strapped to the back as standard.

Practically bare of features, able to be nippy if you know what your doing, legal to drive in all countries and likely to flip out on the corners when you’re not paying attention, fall down a hill in a ball of fire and burn you painfully to death.

Sadly that’s not really snappy enough an answer, and there’s also some charm to the idea of C as a Peugot 206, small and does what you want without being too flash :)

C# is a SUV… comfortable, cruise control, safe for the driver, but boy is it very heavy.

BF is hill kart… bare minimum to get you down the hill, and if you look at it just right it vaguely looks like a car

Sendmail.cf/Exim config is a tank with no steering, bulletproof, destructive, and only goes one direction

Exim config isn’t that bad! Not sure I agree on the bulletproof either. Perhaps Sendmail.cf is a rocket, going fast in one direction, prone to explode on contact.

Ick, I’ve never tried too hard, after a short time I just feel its not worth it when theres other mail servers in the world.

Still I hear its pretty fine performance wise if you tune it
